It's official now. Vijayakanth's 150th film has been titled Sabari and would hit the floors soon after his Dharmapuri is completed.

Salem Chandrasekhar, who produced Ghajini and Sullan before, is producing the movie.

Malluwood girl Jyothirmayi, who made her debut in Tamil with Thalainagaram, plays Captain's heroine in the movie.

Recently the photo shoot for the movie was held at a grand set erected by art-director Kathir at a cost of Rs 20 lakh at a studio in Chennai.

Suresh is directing the movie. He had directed movies like Arasu and Gambheeram before.

Being Captain's 150th film, all efforts are being taken and the script is being penned with great care to ensure a blockbuster hit.
