It's the coming together of five National Awardees for one movie. That's 'Mana Oori Ramayanam' for you. The October 7 release, a human drama with an inbuilt message, boasts of the confluence of such talent as Prakash Raj, Ilayaraja, Priyamani, Sreekar Prasad and Shashidhar Adapa.

The makers are duly promoting the movie as befits the unique coming together.

Prakash Raj won the Best Supporting Actor National Award for the 1997 movie 'Iruvar' ('Iddaru' in Telugu), besides winning a Special Jury National Award in 2002. In 2007, the ultimate recognition came when he won the Best Actor award for his performance in 'Kanchivaram' (Tamil).

Maestro Ilayaraaja's achievements are splendid. He won the National Award for Best Music Direction in the following years: 1984 ('Sagara Sangamam'), 1986 ('Sindhu Bhairavi'), 1989 ('Rudra Veena'), 2009 (BGM - 'Pazhassi Raja'), and 2015 (BGM - 'Tharai Thappattai').

In 2007, Priyamani stunned everybody when she won the National Award Best Actress for 'Paruthiveeran' (Dubbed into 'Malligadu' in Telugu years later in 2012).

Sreekar Prasad won the National Award in the Best Editing category for the below years: 1988, 1996, 1997, 2008, besides a Special Jury Award in 2009.

Shashidhar Adapa won the National Award Chamanlal Memorial Award in 2004. He is an acclaimed production designer, set designer and puppet designer.
