There is only one Kannada film selected for the 48th International Film Festival Panorama section. That is ‘Railway Children’ participating in the November 20 to 28th festival. At the Calcutta film festival five Kannada films have been picked for screening.

This time at the Goa International Film festival Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol are expected to take part.

At the Indian competition success two Kannada films B Suresha directed ‘Uppina Kagada’ and Panchakshari directed ‘Pathumma’, national award winning films ‘Reservation’ and Tulu film ‘Madipu’ and in children sector ‘Putani Safari’ are exhibited for international crowd.

Among the 26 films at Indian Panorama, six of Hindi, Marathi nine, Bangali three, Assam two, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam 1 each are screened.
