Onam season lacks promise

Onam, the biggest season for films in Malluwood is proving to be a dismal fare as many films released finds it tough to attract the masses.

Moonnamathoral which arrived early into the fray was the first one to be ruled out of the race with its less interesting plot. But the biggest letdown came in the form of Mammootty’s Bhargavacharitham which carried heavy expectations. The film is now stated as a no starter as the film buffs finds it difficult to appreciate the black comedy depicted in the flick.

Mohanlal's Mahasamudram too is a mediocre film even though fans are over it for the time being. The long run of the film depends on the fate of the other flicks that are to reach the releases this week.

Aanachandham which was in the theatres from August 4 continuous with less collections in a few major centers, as most of the prints has stared the run as Onam film in B centes.

Keerthi Chakra with Mohanalal in the lead which arrived 25 days back is still the earner and is expected to be the final winner as the dismal fate of the Onam releases continues and not much is in the store for a surprise.
