On Swetha being chosen to play a man

Swetha Menon is perhaps one of the most sensuous and feminine actresses around in Mollywood. It may seem a surprising choice to have the actress play a man. Swetha has landed the challenging role in an upcoming movie titled 'Naval Enna Jewel' directed by Renjith Lal.
Renjith says that Swetha is the only actress in Mollywood who can pull off such a role with grace. He says that he contacted Swetha last July and Swetha had replied that she would need five months to get the physique that the character demanded. She surprised everyone when she arrived for shoot with her lean physique. Swetha's role is that of a girl married off to an Arab who has to be dressed as a man always. The story is set in Iran. This is a Malayalam - English bilingual movie.
