The year 2016 has come to an end and it's that time of the year when some of the outstanding films of Bollywood are going to get it's much deserved recognition through award ceremonies. One such exceptional film, which had received great accolades by audiences, critics and industry, was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer 'Sarbjit' which now is all set to compete in the prestigious 2016. Academy Awards or Oscars.

Helmed by Omung Kumar, 'Sarbjit' portrayed the heart wrenching story of the innocent farmer Sarbjit Singh (Randeep Hooda) and his sister Dalbir Kaur's (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) relentless struggle to rescue him from a Pakistan jail. The leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was seen in a never seen before avatar and had greatly worked on her look and performance in the film had received phenomenal appreciations from all over the world. It is had also premiered at the prominent Cannes Festival 2016, where global cinema lovers and filmmakers had acknowledged this masterpiece.
