Om Shanti! Choreographer Siva Shankar is no more

Popular choreographer, actor, and reality TV show judge Siva Shankar is no more. He breathed his last on Sunday evening after battling Covid-19 complications at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Just before his passing away, the doctors at Gachibowli’s AIG Hospitals declared that he had tested negative. He was 72.

A recipient of the National Award for Best Choreography for Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’, the talented choreographer also won four Tamil Nadu State Awards. SS Rajamouli, taking to social media, condoled the demise. “Sad to know that renowned choreographer Shiva Shankar Master garu has passed away. Working with him for ‘Magadheera’ was a memorable experience. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family,” the ‘RRR’ maker tweeted.

The hospital will hand over his mortal remains to his family members on Monday morning. His mortal remains will be placed at Manikonda’s Panchavati Colony residence of Siva Shankar for friends, relatives, industry colleagues and others to pay homage.

Siva Shankar will be laid to rest in the afternoon at Film Nagar’s Maha Prasthanam.

When he was hospitalized, Chiranjeevi, Dhanush and a few others helped his family in meeting medical expenses.
