At a promotional event of 'Om Namo Venkatesaya', the film's crucial cast and crew members said that the Feb 10th release will surely get the applause of the audience.

Writer JK Bharavi said, "I cogitated about this story for ten years. The discussions with K Raghavendra Rao garu happened over a span of one year. We always approached this film with a devotional attitude. We are confdient that 'ONV' will be seen as a masterpiece. The songs themselves put together have a run-time of 46 minutes. And none of the songs is there without a reason. Each song takes the story forward."

Art director Kiran, who created the 'Garbhalayam' and exterior of the sanctum sanctorum, thanked the director and the producer (A Mahesh Reddy) for the opportunity.

Lyricist Veda Vyas said, "The very title is a japa. Om Namo Venkatesaya is an extremely pious 'ashtakshara mantra'. It's an indescribable feeling. After Akkineni Nageshwara Rao garu, when we felt there was none to replace him in playing devotional roles, Nagarjuna garu came with 'Annamayya'. The devotional roles he has played are like he was made for them."

Lyricist Ananth Sriram peppered his speech with his usual sharpness and wittiness. "You are seeing only the flowers that are there in the film. But those who are sitting on the dais here had to put up with the thorns beneath the flowers. If the story is like the roots of the tree called 'Om Namo Venkatesaya', the director, MM Keeravani garu, Nagarjuna garu are like the branches. This film has proved that fact and fiction are like twins. When we are asked about God, we point upwards. To look at Saurabh Jain (who has played Lord Venkateswara), we have to raise our heads and look upwards. I am 32. I got an opportunity that I should have got at 64. This film indicates to me that I should more responsibly."

Asmitha, who has played Bhoodevi in the movie, said, "I am excited to watch the film, as I only know about the scenes in which I am seen. It was a surreal experience to do songs with a director like Raghavendra Rao sir. As for Nagarjuna sir, the kind of innocence he exudes makes me just stare at him. This film is immortal."

Vimala Raman, who has played Sridevi in the movie, said, "Doing a mythological film had always been my dream. So, playing Goddess Sridevi, that too in a film like this, is a dream-come-true. If the director is like the father of this movie, the producer is like the mother."

Saurabh Jain said, "When I first met the director and Nagarjuna sir, I was apprehensive. I wondered how I would be able to essay the role when I didn't know the language. But the kind of guidance I got from Raghavendra Rao sir was such that not knowing the language was never a barrier for me. I have spoken about Nag sir many times. But I want to speak still more. He is so humble and he always took care of me. He had told me that working with him will be like a picnic. It really was."

A Mahesh Reddy said, "I haven't produced this film. It's the entire team which did it with their hard work and talent. At this age, Raghavendra Rao garu worked so hard for about 12-13 hours a day. That's why we are able to release the film on the day we had targeted at the time of launching the movie. Nagarjuna's eyes are so full of devotional attitude that, probably because of 'dishti', his eyes reddened for a couple of days. We were afraid that it might affect the schedule. But God took care of the problem. Even after the entire shooting was over, he didn't shave off the beard. He said that he will be ready to re-shoot if needed. Had ANR garu been alive, he would have been 100 times happier than when he watched 'Annamayya'."

Raghavendra Rao said, "From Feb 10th, all the theatres playing 'ONV' will be like temples. The audience will have a darshan of the Lord when they watch the songs '1000 namala vada' and 'Akhlanda koti'. With his eyes, Nagarjuna can open the doors to the Lord. You have to watch the film to know why, of all the devotees, God chose only Hathi Ram Baba."

Nagarjuna said, "People have asked me as to why I was doing a devotional after delivering three hits in a row. Which one should I do if not a film like this? I have done about 95 commercial movies so far. A commercial movie can be done any time. But a film like 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' is a spiritual and devotional experience. That's why I didn't remove my beard even after the shoot was over. The deep-meaning lyrics, written by Veda Vyas (and Sriram), are great. Leaving aside the question of whether God exists, in the process of doing this movie, I have learnt a certain kind of discipline by coming to know of the rituals (associated with holiest temples). That's why I feel very lucky. I had to do no home work for this character. I raised my hands in front of the idol and that's how it all started. No special efforts were put, thanks to the director's instructions, the lyrics and Keeravani garu's music."

Nag said that 'ONV' was his career best movie so far! "I am not saying that this is my great performance. I have a wholesome feeling after working for this movie. In that sense, this is my career best movie. This is the first time that I am not a bit tensed about the collections, etc. The film is a magical experience. It's soul-touching. Hathi Ram's perseverance in seeking God is very well-narrated. I often wonder what is the source of Raghavendra Rao garu's knowledge."
