Olivia Rodrigo entered the music world after appearing in Disney movies like ‘Bizaardvark’ and ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.’ Her first single, Drivers License,’ broke through in January 2021, making her pop icon.
Taylor Swift’s first single, ‘Tim McGraw’ was released seventeen years back in 2006. Her "Eras Tour grossed $2.2 billion due to the loyal fans, but she bragged about how she always used to write a song together but admired that musical talent, making people wonder if there were feelings between them, which sparked when she released ‘Vampire’ in September 2023.
They might have posed like a resemblance at the 2021 BRIT Awards. Rodrigo has even praised Swift as a musical inspiration, and yet they are not close. Rodrigo's 2021 debut album, 'Sour,' contained Swift lyrics on certain of her songs, '1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back, and 'Deja Vu.' Rodrigo had to honour Swift and St. Vincent with song titles.
This raised quarrel rumours that needed Rodrigo to explain that she didn't even have an inkling about song credits. Later on, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Rodrigo said that she wouldn’t request credit from another musician. Her thing was making music and controlling what she could.
Rodrigo fueled feud rumours by saying that there was nothing against anybody. She was chill and never fought. When asked, she denied Twitter conspiracy theories and said that she liked extraterrestrial conspiracies.
