Olipporu

The best of the media outlet that the new generation is befriending is undoubtedly the new media and its online services, including social networking sites and blogs.  A lot of thinking and sharing happens in the similar platforms, which has made it one of the most dreaded media for those who are in power. Telling a finely knit story in the backdrop of new media is documentary director AV Sasidharan in his debut feature 'Olipporu'.

The movie scripted by  AV Gopikrishnan will tell the story of a group of bloggers who writes in pseudo names in their blogs. These techies based in Bangalore include Fahad fazil's Ajayan who writes  poems in the name `Olipporaali' while Basil pens as Pachakuthira,  Arafat as break, Vani as vani and Aju Varghese as gear. It was at a book release function of Ajayan that the writers meet. Though they haven't met before, they have already become thick friends now through their social chatting rooms. They now decide to make a stage show based on Ajayan's poems. But as they plans to start their rehearsal, Ajayan goes missing. The friends now starts to look for him, which unearths the hidden facets and faces of Ajayan.

The movie is scripted based on the real life missing of a blogger. The movie will  have Subhiksha of `Annakodiyum Kodiveernum `  as the heroine. Kalabhavan Mani, Sidharth Bharathan and Zarina Wahab also plays the rest of the main characters.

The camerawork of 'Olipporu'  is by Manoj Mundayat and the music is by John P Varkey.

Shot in  Bangalore and Thrissur, the movie is produced by Shaikh Afzal in the banner of Roundup Cinema..
