The latest trend in Kollywood is to opt for old Tamil titles for new releases. It is the case of the old wine in new bottle.

Adding to list of movies like Nenjirukkum Varai, Thillu Mullu, Thiruvilayadal Arambam, Naan Avanillai and Billa 2006 is Nenjam Marappadhillai.

Parthiban and Meena play the prominent roles in Nenjam Marappadhillai.

Yesteryear classic Nenjam Marappadhillai was directed by Sridhar and it featured Kalyan Kumar, Muthuraman and Devika.

The new version features Parthiban in the role of an ambulance driver and the events that he comes across in his life are narrated in the movie.

Says director Thirumurthy, “It would be an innovative story on silver screen. I have opted for director Sridhar's style of narration. Parthiban and Meena are at their best.”
