'Okkadu Migiladu' shoot comes to end

The shoot of 'Okkadu Migiladu' is coming to an end. Starring Manchu Manoj in a role fashioned after the late LTTE chief Prabhakaran, the film is directed by Ajay Andrews Nuthakki. Anisha Ambrose, who plays a journo, is the heroine.

While post-production works are on, the film is gearing up for a release in June. "The film is based on certain true incidents which took place in 1990s in the wake of the Sri Lankan Civil War, leaving in its trail 15 lakh refugees," the makers say. Set in two periods (the other period being 2017), it took Manoj to shed 12 kgs to essay the role set in the present time.

Milind Gunaji, Posani Krishna Murali, Suhasini, Surya, Benerji, Jennifer and others are a part of the cast. Music is by Siva Nandigama. Screenplay has been written by Gopi Mohan. Karthika Srinivas is the editor. V Kodanda Ramaraju is the cinematographer. PS Verma is the art director. SN Reddy and Laxmikanth are producing it on Padmaja Films Pvt Ltd and New Empire Celluloid.
