The triangular love story is a favorite of our filmmakers.

They fall back on it every third film. Despite its repetition, some of our most popular mainstream films have had this variation of this theme.

In that sense, Oka Voorilo, which belongs to that genre, is not much of a disappointment. But the film that begins promisingly enough, loses its tempo and tension towards the end.

In the end, you have a feeling of being stopped midway during a sumptuous meal just because the waiter is tired.

The story revolves on Seenu (Tarun), Ravi (Raja) and Lalitha (Saloni), three bosom buddies in a village.

But Ravi has move out to Hyderabad along with his parents while Seenu and Lalitha stay back to become what young friends usually become --- lovers.

But Lalitha's father opposes their love and they escape to Hyderabad and, by chance, they meet their old friend Ravi.

And then there is a twist in the tale, and you have wait patiently till the climax to know whether the lovers unite or not.

It is a story that is straight up Tarun's alley. He has played the lover boy in several films, and it is a romp for him.

As a devil-may-care rich boy, he is spontaneous. Raja, as the responsible youth, provides the perfect counter-point. Saloni too acquits herself well. The comedy of Brahmanandam and Sunil's work as the servant is certainly laugh-worthy.

The production values too are at an acceptable level. The camerawork of Arjun Jana is indeed spectacular.

He has oodles of talent and is surely a man to watch. Devi Sri Prasad's music has its moments. A couple of songs show his original form.

Director Ramesh Varma certainly has lot of skill. His handling of the first half is indeed good.

But his inexperience lets him down in the second. He doesn't come up with right turns to sustain the script.

In the event, Oka Voorilo is patchy.
