Vishal has amassed a massive fan base with some terrific performances in films like Pandiya Naadu, Avan Ivan and others. The Paayum Puli actor was in the headlines for the rumours about his marriage. Now he has once again made headlines for his movie's release.

Vishal's next movie Lathi has got a new release date and the actor himself made it official by sharing a poster along with the release date on his Twitter account. The poster had a picture of bloodied Vishal with vengeful eyes.

The film is all set to release in theatres as a Pan India film in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages this Christmas. Directed by A. Vinoth Kumar. Lathi touted to be an action thriller, has been delayed multiple times for now. Lathi was initially slated to release on August 12. The release date was then postponed to September 15. It was then finally postponed to December 22.

Actress Sunaina will play the role of Vishal’s ladylove in this movie. Veteran actor Prabhu will also essay an important role. Sam C.S. has been roped in for composing Lathi’s music, while Balasubramaniam has taken care of the cinematography. Produced by Rana Productions, Lathi’s storyline which was penned by Pon Parthiban is still kept under wraps.
