Superstar Rajinikanth has undergone a Carotid Artery revascularisation procedure at the famous Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. As per an official update released today, the 'Peddanna' actor had an episode of giddiness. He was then taken to the hospital. After a thorough evaluation, the legendary actor was advised to undergo Cartoid Artery revascularisation.

With the procedure being successful, Rajini is fast recovering. He will be discharged at the earliest.

A procedure to restore blood supply to the brain as per a top doctor, as quoted by PTI.

On the film front, his film 'Peddanna' will hit the screens in Telugu and Tamil on November 4. Directed by Siva, it has Keerthy Suresh as Rajini's sister. Nayanthara, Kushbu and Meena have other roles. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and Abhimanyu Singh have got negative roles.
