Ever since the team of 'Sufiyum Sujathayum' announced that the movie will have a direct OTT release, the audience hasd been eagerly waiting to know the release date. While there were reports doing the rounds that the movie will release on July 2, now the team itself has announced the official release date.

The movie is set to have its world premiere on July 3 on Amazon Prime Video, making it the first film in the Malayalam language to have a direct-to-OTT release, avoiding a theatrical release owing to the nationwide lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Proud to announce the launch of marketing activities and the release date of 'Sufiyum Sujatayum', the first ever Malayalam movie to release through OTT. The movie will be released amazon prime from July 3 2020," Vijay Babu wrote on Instagram.

Starring Jayasurya and Aditi Rao, ‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’ is directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas. The musical love story is shot by cinematographer Anu Moothedath and edited by Deepu Joseph. Composer M Jayachandran has given the film's score while Hari Narayan has penned the lyrics. This is the 12th film of Friday Films production house.
