Actress Amala Paul was seen earlier this year on screens in the thriller Aadai, which was the second movie of director Rathna Kumar after Aadai, and the movie which was released in July opened to mixed reviews and controversies due to Amala Paul's bold avatar.

Recently there was a news making rounds that the Bollywood remake of Aadai is being planned, and that popular producer Mukesh Bhatt has got the remake rights of the movie with plans to cast actress Kangana Ranaut in the role played by Amala Paul in Aadai.

However, actor and producer Arun Pandian, who has produced many movies like Aegan, Villu in the past made it official that his A&P groups owns the remake rights of the movie, and that Kangana Ranaut has not been approached for Aadai remake. The cast and crew of this remake is expected to be announced soon.
