Ustaad Ram Pothineni had gone from boy-next-door roles to full on commercial films in the recent past. All his recent theatrical outings have been commercial actioners and they had Ram in action avatar. But for a change he is taking a discourse with RaPo22.

Today, RAPO22 was formally launched with a pooja ceremony and it had a fair few things going its way. The event had happening Tollywood directors Gopichand Malineni, Hanu Raghavapudi and Venky Kudumula in attendance, amongst others.

At the launch, it was Hanu Raghavapudi who sounded the first clap at the event, followed by Gopichand switching on the camera and Venky directing the first shot.

The aesthetic looking lead pair of Ram and Bhagyashri were seen briefly filming the traditional muhurtham shot.

Director Mahesh Babu earlier made Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty which had a feel-good and sensible vibe. He appears to be coming up with something afresh again for RAPO22, going by the earlier released poster.

Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers are producing the film and they are naturally bound to give it a sizable budget and good making values. The principle cast and crew will be announced soon, as the film heads for the commencement of the shooting in a few days from now.
