'Officer' is not 'Taken'

Ram Gopal Varma has unambiguously refuted the theory that 'Officer' is an adaptation of the French action thriller 'Taken'. In the first, the rumours were invented when the film's posters made it clear that Nagarjuna is a cop with a little daughter. Speaking to an English-language daily, RGV has clarified that the similarities end there.
Nagarjuna is clearly playing a trigger-happy cop whose encounters are set to be glorified in the movie. 'Cops were never this scary', so goes the tagline. Myra Sareen is the female lead.
The entire shooting is over. After its post-production works, the entertainer will be ready for a big release. The cop entertainer will hit the screens on May 25.
