Officer disappears like an RGV-type calamity, details here

What is shocking is not the debacle of 'Officer'. What is shocking is the RGV-level scale of its disaster.

The lifetime collections of the cop drama are said to be a pathetic Rs. 1 crore (worldwide share). In the Telugu States, where the film was expected to make at least Rs. 10 crores, it ended up making a mere Rs. 75 lakhs. The film has numbed box-office trackers by throwing up negative returns.

Ram Gopal Varma has resoundingly proven his credentials (we mean, the lack of them). No star hero will now entertain him in Telugu.

The film's failure notwithstanding, the controversial director recently announced a new project. Titled 'Virus', it will be a fictional tragi-thriller set in Mumbai. The outbreak of a deadly virus kills one lakh people. What follows is mayhem. We only hope the film doesn't kill the time of the audience.
