A day ago, we had reported that the music composition of Mohanlal's much-anticipated movie 'Odiyan' has started. Now the latest that we hear is the movie will start rolling on August 1, 2017.

'Odiyan', which is expected to be one of the costliest projects ever made in the history of Malayalam cinema, is directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, who will also be helming Mohanlal's prestigious project Randamoozham/Mahabharata. 'Odiyan' will have Manju Warrier in the female lead along with Prakash Raj in an important role.

With the lyrics penned by Rafeeq Ahamed and Lakshmi Sreekumar, the project's music department is handled by M Jayachandran. The video of the making of the songs on the film was recently shared by Mohanlal himself through his official Facebook page. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, 'Odiyan' will be shot at the various locations of Palakkad, Pollachi, Udumalpet, Banaras, and Hyderabad.
