At a time when governments are making extreme measures to protect people from the Coronavirus pandemic and also to break the chain of infection, many non governmental organisations and individuals are also participating in relief activities and are contributing funds.

Now here's a heartwarming instance of an 82 year old retired college professor donating a huge amount for Corona relief through police officers. Subhash Chandra Banerjee from Kolkata called police patrol on duty in his area and when they thought he called them for help, he revealed the reason.

Living near Dum Dum airport in Kolkata, Subhash Chandra Banerjee is living on pension and told cops that he doesn't want any help but wanted to help people in the crisis time and wrote out a cheque for Rs 10,000 favouring Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.As Banerjee apologised to police for troubling them, they were extremely happy with his gesture and told him not to come out of home and call them anytime if he needs anything like grocery or medicines.
