Telugu films "Sankranthi" and "Radha Gopalam" have received good initial response, but it is "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" ("NVNV") that is showing staying power.

1. "Sankranthi": Venkatesh has again brought in good openings by playing a self-pitying hero, but the contrived scenes of family conflicts are affecting film collections. But for Venkatesh's presence, the film would have folded up after the first few days.

2. "Radha Gopalam": Veteran director Bapu's comeback film has opened to a good response but the stale plot can scuttle its run. He relies more on intimate scenes between the lead pair than on anything else.

3. "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana": The first hit of this year is still holding interest. The performances of Siddharth and Trisha are drawing crowds.

4. "Relax": This low-rated film has received a good response. The fusion of love and astrology in the theme has worked. New faces Rohan and Anjali and director Pradip hold the audience interest with a racy screenplay.

5. "Mass": Nagarjuna's release of last year has survived several new releases and is racing towards 100 days in a reduced number of theatres. Good publicity and Nag's charisma have worked.
