The craze for TikTok has landed three nurses working in a district hospital in Odisha's Malkangiri in trouble. The other day, the trio got creative and decided to make a spontaneous TikTok video right in a hospital room, that too in a ward meant for sick and new-born ones. They uploaded the video, which became quite popular and even caught the attention of superiors in the Health Department. The superiors were taken aback by the sheer insensitivity of the nurses, who made the video while being on duty.
A complaint was registered within the department and a probe has been launched. The District Collector has been informed about the issue. A show-cause notice will be served on the nurses and they will have to give an explanation within 2 days. The Chief District Medical Officer has said that action will be initiated once their replies are received.
Odisha Health Minister Nabakishore Das too has sought a report from the Health Department. "After I get a report from the department, I will take appropriate action as per law," the Minister has been quoted as saying.
