Actor Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare, in an inspiring and poetically unconventional ceremony on Thursday. But never mind the grand ghodi entrance—Shikhare, a fitness trainer, had his way of arriving at the Bandra venue: he jogged—all the way from Santa Cruz, a distance of nearly 8 km!

While the videos of the groom with his 'boys' squad' jogging happily to the wedding venue have gone viral, Ira herself took to her Instagram from the wedding destination to share her love for the quirky yet thoughtful gesture by her husband. She wrote under the caption of the collage, "He didn't come on a horse. He ran to the place. And I placed cute posters along the way."

And host Shikhare's sporty entry was not a one-time flex. Reportedly, he first met Ira during lockdown, when he began training Aamir Khan, and the couple bonded over their love for fitness, according to several reports. They celebrated their engagement in November 2023 and have now made it official.

But the celebrations are not going to end! On January 8th, the couple sets off to Udaipur with their families for a big wedding function there.
