NTR has completed 18 years as an actor. It was on this day in 2000 that the actor entered the film industry. His debut movie, 'Ninnu Choodalani', hit the screens in 2001.

The same year, Rajamouli's 'Student No. 1' and 'Subbu' hit the screens. By then, NTR started appealing to a niche section of audience as a good performer and a promising dancer.

It was VV Vinayak's 'Aadi', released in 2002, that catapulted Tarak to stardom. It was a massive hit and the audience found a youngster who can pull off a massy role with ease. And, yes, NTR was the youngest star in India.

'Simhadri' (2003), directed by Rajamouli, was a huge blockbuster. It widened NTR's fan base and it was now clear that it's difficult to challenge him in some territories. Mass masala action was forte.

'Yamadonga' (once again, Rajamouli is the director) in 2007 and 'Adhurs' and 'Brindavanam' in 2010 offered him three opportunities to showcase different shades of his acting talent. The priest's avatar in 'Adhurs', directed by VV Vinayak, has to be one of his top five performances and the most comical act in his career.

'Temper' in 2015, directed by Puri Jagannadh, was like a comeback. NTR excelled in a role with negative shades in this one. 'Nannaku Prematho' and 'Janatha Garage' in 2016, 'Jai Lava Kusa' in 2017 and 'Aravindha Sametha' in 2018 have cemented Tarak's position in the box-office.

The 35-year-old actor is raring to create history with the RRR movie next.
