Seemingly taken aback by the propaganda that he prodded Nani to take a decision to join the YSR Congress Party, he said that he will be loyal to the Telugu Desam Party for ever. "As long as the Telugu soul lives on, the TDP will be there. It is my deep desire to immortalise NTR's name. I will be there to render my services to his party whenever there is a need," he said.

He was cautious not to stir up speculation about his possible plunge into the political fray in 2014. It was in Dammu that he said that his political arangetram will depend on the call from the general public.
