Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, who staged a coup against NT Rama Rao in the 1980s and became united Andhra Pradesh's CM for 31 days, has stated in an interview that 'NTR: Mahanayakudu' will not present a true picture of events. The senior politician, who was one of the founding members of the TDP and was the Finance Minister in the first TDP government, said that he will be portrayed as a venomous creature by the Balakrishna-Krish Jagarlamudi movie.
In the interview, Rao added that the actual villains who worked against NTR were his own family members who were apprehensive that Lakshmi Parvathi might take over the reins of the party.
"Ramoji Rao (of 'Eenadu' group) was also a party to the conspiracy against Rama Rao. The former had had differences with the latter. I won't say what caused the rift because I am not sure," he said.
Rao claimed that a religious person foretold him about the "murder" of NT Rama Rao 20 days before the legendary actor-turned-politician's demise.
