Even as his fans are eagerly awaiting the first look of 'Jai Lava Kusa', NTR bagged a Filmfare nomination in the Best Singer (Male) category for his debut Kannada number, 'Geleya Geleya' ('Chakravyuha').

It was the Young Tiger's friendship with Puneeth Rajkumar (the film's lead) which made SS Thaman choose him for the number.

The song not only became a popular hit, but also got appreciation for the Nandamuri star. The nomination only further proves the point. Earlier in Telugu, he rendered a song in 'Yamadonga', 'Kantri' and 'Adhurs', 'Rabhasa' and 'Nannaku Prematho'.
