Young Tiger NTR's new movie Janatha Garage is progressing at swift pace in Hyderabad. The Koratala Shiva directorial has been getting lucrative offers from the distributors and already the film has fetched a record price for Kerala territory. The NTR starrer has outnumbered the likes of sensational director SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali in Kerala.
According to reports, the Kerala theatrical rights of Janatha Garage have fetched Rs 4.20 crore for its makers. This is a record=breaking price among NTR's as well as Telugu films. Rajamouli's Baahubali was sold for Rs 3.25 crores and the film has raked in around Rs 14 crore at the Mollywood box office.
Trade pundits are wondering as to why an NTR starrer has outshined Baahubali - the biggest hit of Tollywood. The reason is due to the presence of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Nithya Menen and Unni Mukundan in the film. Hence, such demand. With this feat, Janatha Garage has created a never-before-seen trend in Kerala.
