'NTR: Mahanayakudu': A mixed bag

The trailer for 'NTR: Mahanayakudu' starts from the time NT Rama Rao (Balakrishna) unveiled the Chaitanya Ratham, the vehicle on which he toured Andhra Pradesh after establishing the Telugu Desam Party.
Right from the word go, the trailer makes the expected moves. Nadendla Bhaskara Rao (Sachin Khadekar) is waiting to backstab NTR, his gaze and demeanour smack of wiliness. Nara Chandrababu Naidu (Rana Daggubati) is there to give him Chanakyan advice.
One needs to watch out for the crusade that NTR launched after he was ousted unethically.
A disappointment is that the trailer has more of Sachin than Rana, who shouldn't have mimicked CBN. It's a bit unconvincing to watch Balayya as a weak man here and there. Indira Gandhi (played by Supriya Vinod) looks like that noble-minded elder daughter/daughter-in-law in old-fashioned family dramas.
Keeravani's score for the trailer is unidimensional. Sai Madhav Burra's lines are plain.
Also starring Vidya Balan (as Basavatharakam), Poonam Bajwa (as Lokeswari), Manjima Mohan (as Bhuvaneshwari), Bharath Reddy (Daggupati Venkateswara Rao), Himanshi Choudary, Heroshini Komali (Uma Maheshwari), the film will hit the screens on February 22.
