That is why the cherubic hero, enduring a rough patch, has kept quiet all along.

When most heroes prefer to make vacuous noises to keep themselves in the limelight, NTR Jr has preferred the anonymity of quietness. He hopes his Ashok, now confirmed for a release in May, will do the talking for him.

After the fiasco of Narasimhudu and the unseemly acts of its producer, NTR Jr was a much hurt man. A sensitive soul, NTR Jr internalized his agony and plunged headlong into Ashok.

Though he has taken his time, NTR Jr is hopeful that Ashok will take his career to the heights that it was used to.

The film stars Sameera Reddy. NTR Jr has also endured the talks of his having an affair with the film’s heroine.

Surender Reddy, who is credited with reviving NTR Jr brother Kalyan Ram’s career through Atanokkade, directs Ashok.

Mani Sharma has scored the music.
