When NTR called up KS Rama Rao, the producer who had always wanted to do a film with the actor for good eight years, he was sure that Boyapati Srinu would direct it. He was that much awed by his style of making after watching Balayya's Simha.

Yet, the choosy actor, who was very sure of what he wanted, took care to select the right story. Srinu apparently narrated nine lines till NTR finally asked him to tell him a gutsy line. "He narrated me a line finally. The tenth line is this film, Dammu," NTR said with aplomb at the audio release function of the film held yesterday.

"We need to show them something novel to impress the audience," he had said to the director.

The actor's love for music is well-known. (Well, he heard a song from Kottha Bangaru Lokam a good one hundred times in one day!). He revealed that he liked Keeravani as much as he loves Illayaraja's music. "I do not sleep off without listening to his 'Ralipoye Puvva Neeku Ragalenduke.' I have taught the song to my wife too."
