NTR's father-in-law Narne Srinivasa Rao is now officially a member of the YSRCP. The businessman today formally joined the party at Jaganmohan Reddy's Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad. Former Union Minister Killi Kruparani was also present on the occasion.
"I have been close to Jagan garu's family for the past 10 years. My joining the party has nothing to do with Jr. NTR. I am not expecting any position in the party. If the party leadership directs, I will definitely contest the 2019 elections. It's my wish to see Jagan garu as the next chief minister," Narne said.
Narne is also a relative of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Speculations were rife that he would join YSRCP when Narne paid a "courtesy visit" to Jagan earlier this month.
