For a couple of years now, sections of the media have fervently said that Junior NTR is miffed with N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party. They also maintained that the actor was instrumental in causing the exit of Kodali Nani from the party. For the first time, NTR today reacted to this by reiterating that he will always be at the service of his grandfathers party.
He said that there is no iota of truth in that news that he influenced Nani to come out of the TDP. He also denied that there was a chasm between him and the party. "I have great regard for my late grandfather (NT Rama Rao). I will always be loyal to the party till my last breath", he told the media.
His public speeches in rallies during the run-up to the 2009 elections, it was said, galvanised some fencesitting voters to the TDP. Though he could not translate his charisma into votes, his electioneering had received wide coverage.
