Today marks the 28th Death Anniversary of Sr NTR, the legendary actor, and the founding president of TDP. On this solemn occasion, members of the Nandamuri family paid their respects at the NTR ghat in Hyderabad. However, the events that unfolded exposed once again the underlying differences within the family, leading to heightened tensions.
Amidst the tributes, a notable incident drew attention Balakrishna's reaction to flex banners featuring Jr NTR's photos. Surrounding the NTR ghat, fervent fans, TDP supporters, party workers, and others had erected banners. One particular banner showcased Jr NTR in his iconic role from the film 'Yama Donga,' portraying Yamadharma Raju. Interestingly, Sr NTR's image in a similar attire accompanied the younger NTR's photo on the same banner.
Upon noticing this, Balakrishna, visibly displeased, promptly instructed his supporters to remove the banner. He was captured passionately directing one of his supporters, saying, "Teeyinchey⦠Ippude Teeyinchey.." in a stern tone, expressing his discontent over the banner.
Consequently, the supporters promptly relocated the banner away from the venue, placing it at a considerable distance. This incident starkly highlights the ongoing tension between the paternal uncle (Babai) and nephew (Abbai) within the Nandamuri family.
While Balakrishna's actions reflect the internal discord, fans of Jr NTR expressed their disappointment on social media, registering their discontent with Balakrishna's decision. Earlier, during the tribute ceremony led by NTR and Kalyan Ram, slogans like 'CM NTR' were chanted by fans, further emphasizing the strained relationships within the Nandamuri family. This incident serves as a poignant reminder that all is not well within the influential Nandamuri family.
Fans of NTR are furious, angry and hurt with the insensitive and arrogant behavior of Balakrishna who insulted not only Jr NTR but also his father Harikrishna as the flexies also had the photos of Harikrishna.
