The overseas market has been something of a terrific opportunity as far as certain Telugu films are concerned. A case in point in recent past is Srimanthudu and now, Nannaku Prematho, not to mention Baahubali, whose gargantuan success is obvious and definitely insurmountable in the near future for any Telugu film (with the exception of Baahubali-2, obviously!).

Baahubali collected $6 million last year. After this, Srimanthudu at $2.89 m holds the record for being the next highest grosser. The third highest position was held by Attarintiki Daredi, at $1.89 mllion.

However, Nannaku Prematho has beat this record by collecting $2 million before the end of second week. This is a stunning performance of a film which opened to mixed reviews.
