Moved by the plight of North Coastal Andhra in the wake of Cyclone Titli, NTR and his brother, Nandamuri Kalyanram, have announced a cash donation of Rs. 15 lakhs and Rs. 5 lakhs, respectively. The donation will go to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The actors are among the first ones to respond to the pathetic situation in the cyclone-affected districts. Vijay Deverakonda (Rs. 5 lakhs), Sampoornesh Babu (Rs. 50,000), and Manchu Manoj (adoption of some poor kids) have done their bit already. The response of big Tollywood stars was phenomenal when Kerala was ravaged by floods a few months ago. A similar response is expected now.
Meanwhile, 'Aravindha Sametha' is doing well at the box-office. The Monday test is crucial for the Trivikram directorial. With Dasara holidays, it faces a favourable situation.
