After Asin walked out Ashutosh GowarikarÂs ÂKhelein Hum Jee Jaan SeÂ, her role fell on our ShanthipriyaÂs lap. We mean Deepika Padukone! Yes, she will be pairing up with our Bachchan Junior in this period film!
According to sources, after Asin refused the role citing date issues, Ashu considered Genelia DÂSouza, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. ÂBut it was Deepika who landed the role. She is more than happy to be working with Ashu sir and immediately grabbed the role, added the sources. The actress is very excited to act with Abhishek Bachchan for the first time and said to have already started preparing for her role.
Even AshutoshÂs wife and producer Sunita Gowarikar confirmed the news and said that they are looking forward to work with Deepika. The shooting is expected to start on 9th November.
