Now a movie on Munna Bhai & Sallu Bhai

Superstars Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan have both led such a colourful life till now that it was only a matter of time that their real life story gets chronicled on screen. And that is exactly what writer turned filmmaker; Muazzam Beg has attempted to do in his latest venture ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’, a Bollywood feature story through which he hopes to portray the human side of these so called "Bad Boys" of Hindi Cinema.

Director Muazzam Beg who had also written the story on which the Imtiaz Ali directed 2011 Film ‘Rockstar’ was based elaborates,"Rockstar was about a Rockstar, Munna Bhai Sallu Bhai is about two superstars Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan the purpose of the movie is to show how much die-hard fans loves their favourite stars despite of right or wrong." And added to say, "It will be showing their life journey include their social, Psychological and economical life - from the time and even before they started their career in the industry".

The film stars debutant actors Shreshtha Kumar, Zubair Khan and Anjali Arora in key roles. Actors Shreshtha Kumar and Zubair Khan play the die-hard fans (Dev and Samar) of Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan respectively whereas Actress Anjali Arora plays Natara who is blindly in love with Salman Khan. Whereas Shreshtha is a well-known TV star, courtesy his roles in Kitani Mohabbat Hai and Na Aan Is Des Laado among others, Zubair, an accomplished model, has won the title of 2012 Mr India Worldwide.

Incidentally, director Muazzam Beg ventured into Bollywood with his directorial debut ‘Sadda Adda’. Produced by Hindustan light & Sound Movie Services, ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’ will find resonance with many die-hard fans of Bollywood Stars. The movie is slated to release in 2014 and the second shooting Schedule is still on.
