Chandhupottu was the flavor of season.Dileeps’s role as the effeminate Radha Krishnan has been the standout show.

The movie is now going places. But Dileep himself is moving on to other things in life.

And as a man who values difference and variety, Dileep has chosen the other extreme to the one he played in Chandhupottu.

In his next flick, named Fast Track, he plays a machismo-dripping athlete. The name of his character is Arjun.

Directed by debutant Jayasoorya, who has changed his name to SY Soorya to avoid any confusion with the actor of the same name. He is the son of the late playwright S.L. Puram Sadanandan.

This campus story has a personal sense of irony to Dileep. He was thrown out of the college for indiscipline when he was studying. So get back to college,is something of a personal experience.

The story is about an up and coming college athlete who has to discontinue studies after his father’s death. But he makes a comeback. Why? See the film, he says with a hearty laugh.

Gajala, Madhu Warrier, Riyaz Khan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Salim Kumar provide him company in the film.
