The second film to be released on 2008 is 'Novel' - the Jayaram starrer which graced the release centres today. The film opened in 38 centres, all across the state, a truly big release considering the present star equations and chances of audience pull.

The movie which will mark the foray of Tamil actress Sada, into Malayalam is directed by popular album director East Coast Vijayan. The film is a musical love story penned by the director himself. The movie's highlights includes the six songs set to music by M Jayachandran, Balabhasker and Umbayee which are rendered by maestro K J Yesudas.

However, with the completion of this film, Jayaram found a reversal of fortunes with a handful of projects in Malayalam and Tamil. In Malayalam, the actor will immediately complete Anil's 'Paarthan Kanda Paralokam' and Raj Babu's 'Plastic Surgery', while his two films that were completed earlier titled 'Magic Lamp' and 'Seetha Kalayanam' will also grace the theaters in a couple of months.

In Kollywood also , 2008 will witness Jayaram's four films including 'Dhaam Dhoom',-the last film directed by cinematographer Jeeva.
