After treating us amazingly with Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’, the powerhouse of talents – Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan were next all set to stun us in Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial based on gangster ‘Sapna Didi’. The shooting got cancelled all of a sudden as the actor shocked the world with the news of being diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. He, then headed to London for further treatment and Vishal broke the news about his project on his tweet, “Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat."

During the interaction with the diva – DP, she was asked about the project and about her good friend, Irrfan’s health. She replied, “Forget the actor part, for me, Irrfan is someone I’m extremely fond of as a person. I can’t say it was expected, but neither was it a shock. I myself have been through certain experiences in the past, and it has taught me that life is fragile. Anything can happen to anyone. Nothing shocks or alarms me anymore, but I do wish him good health and a speedy recovery."
