Bhagmathi, a historical-drama, sees Anushka being cast in the role of the Quli Qutub Shah wife. UV Creations is producing the project. The film will go on the floors in the third week of January, 2017.
Speaking about the movie, Anushka has said that it will be made like a thriller. Since thrillers are gaining currency of late, one can expect this one to be a hit. For a period drama, it's an innovation as well. The story won't focus on the love saga of Bhagmathi and Quli Qutub Shah.
Directed by Ashok G of Pilla Zamindar fame, the film will have a significant CG work.
Looks like after playing author-backed roles in magnum opuses, Anushka will be back in yet another memorable role.
