Not Into Politics... Planning Adhurs-2: VV Vinayak
- IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,October 09 2013]
VV Vinayak is a special name in Tollywood. He has one of the best strike rates in Telugu and is one of the few directors who can draw audiences by the ÂdirectorÂs cardÂ. Smiling, smooth and shy in demeanor, he speaks a completely different language on screen with high voltage potboiler action, thigh thumping one liners and mass tickling dance moves.
Vinayak is celebrating his 38th Birthday today and arranged a pressmeet to meet and greet his media friends and thank each one of them in standing his pillars of strength. He spoke up his mind about his career, his films, his political entry (Or Non entry), destiny and how he is fearful of failure.
Vinayak spoke at length about his immediate film launching the happening producer Bellamkonda SureshÂs son Sai including the care they have taken in carving the character, finishing the script etc. He looked quite pumped up about the prospects of the film and in all praise for the young gun who is alls et to make his first take. Here are the excerpts of the chatÂ
At The Outset...
I would like to thank you all for coming all the way just on a phone call. Media has been the backbone of my career.
Why The Gap...
People are asking me about the perceived gap after ÂNayakÂ. I have been working on the project introducing Sai, producer Bellamkonda SureshÂs son and have been listening to stories. I wasnÂt satisfied by the script that should be introducing a young man to the industry so, it took me some time and we are finally going on sets from the 20th October. It will take off with a song.
It's My Greatest Responsibility...
Bellamkonda Suresh gave me the project ÂAadi very early in my career and never intervened in the filming part, just banking on my vision. The movieÂs success gave a great fillip to my own career and all our families are doing well after that. So, introducing his son is obviously a great responsibility on my shoulders. I am taking all precautions and leaving no stone unturned to see that the film will create a niche for him in the industry with so many heroes.
The Script Has Everything...
The movie has Samantha as the female lead and Devi Sri Prasad has composed songs. This will be an action entertainer, done with a huge budget. We are designing SaiÂs character as a responsible kid than a vagabond. The movie has a great scope for fun, music, action and drama.
Sai Is The NexGen Hero...
I am sure Sai will stand as a hero. He is not doing the project coz he is the son of a producer but out of his own passion to become an actor. He has got the looks, talent and above all, ambition for stardom.
Telugu Will Follow Suit...
Small and intellectual films with new teams are bound to flood Telugu industry as well, much like Tamil. There are many young filmmakers are coming up with such meaningful thoughts whom the industry will embrace with the same love as they do blockbuster films. In fact, I also encourage young and rookie ideas, send them to my home production houses like Dil Raju, Nallamalupu Bujji or Bellamkonda Suresh.
I Love Sensitive Films Too...
Personally I like all kinds of films, even more so, sensitive films like Mani RanamÂs. But as a maker, I do what I am good at. I am scared of experiments coz alls aid and done film is also a business. But I am also planning to do a film with all newbies next year.
Other Langue Films Is a Challenge...
I got offers to do a film in Hindi but coz of my commitments, I couldnÂt do it. I would love to do films in other languages as well in future.
Love To Do With All Heroes...
I would love to do a film for Nagarjuna. I am also in talks with NTR. Will structure them once this project is finished. I never planned anything in my career.
Chiranjeevi Is In No Mood...
Chiranjeevi is not inclined to do his 150th film now. When he thinks he wants to, I will be there.
South Stories Are The Best...
The mass ingredients of South stories are attracting Bollywood audiences big way and you can see that all these stories are drawing huge crowds even in multiplexes and creating a new charisma for the heroes.
No, I am not Into Politics...
Yes, my family has a political background with my father and brother actively in connect with local political happenings. So, when Kodali Nani was rumored to have said that I will be contesting in the next elections, it spread like fire and everyone started asking me. Just to clear the air, I donÂt have any ideas of joining politics in immediate future and I donÂt know whatÂs in store for me long term. I am not planning to campaign for any leader either.
Everything is Destined...
Everything happened as destined. I always thank God for the kind of career bestowed upon me. I am never relaxed but at the same time I donÂt burden my mind with lot of plans.
Sign Off...
I am planning to spend my Birthday at Basara Saraswathi Temple and thank you all for the wishes.
