With each new project, actor John Abraham tries to do something fresh and unique to raise the level action films in Bollywood. With his last film 'Attack', John made a fairly good attempt to introduce the audience to the concept of super soldier and presented a slick and entertaining sci-fi action thriller. Although the film didn't do too well on the box office, it certainly gets full marks for the effort.
In a recent conversation with ETimes, John talked about the commercial failure of 'Attack' and shared how tough it is to compete with international films on a limited budget. He stated, "I have not led a way to encourage more filmmakers and actors to explore sci-fi and nor am I trying to give a tough competition to action films internationally. Firstly, I am just doing what I believe in, so I am not encouraging filmmakers to explore a new genre."
John further added that he'll continue to do the best he can with the resources he has. He stated, "I just believe in this concept. Secondly, you cant compete with Hollywood with their budgets. So, I am trying to make the best with the budgets I have."
