Samantha Akkineni says that strong female characters in films are now a matter of demand. As someone getting accolades for her roles in 'Mahanati' (as journalist Madhuravani) and 'Irumbu Thirai' (as Dr. Rathi Devi in the Tamil film), the superstar actress knows what she is saying.
"Thank you, PS Mithran (director of her latest Tamil film) just for this. Good female roles are no longer a request it is a demand !! The industry is full of talent just waiting to explode onscreen if you only give us the opportunity to do so!!" Samantha says on Saturday.
It's true that star actresses like Sai Pallavi, Keerthy Suresh and Rakul Preet Singh are now putting in extraordinary efforts to play performance-oriented roles. Pooja Hegde, Shalini Pandey and the likes are expected to surprise in the coming months. As thing stand, Sam has had the highest number of good roles in her kitty. After 'Rangasthalam', 'Mahanati', 'IT', we are going to see her in 'U-Turn'.
