North ya South Vidya simply rocks

Vidya is on a high post her role in the film ‘No One Killed Jessica’. The film was inspired by the controversial Jessica Lal murder case. Vidya Balan did a commendable job as Sabrina Lal in the film which won her rave reviews. The film also did commercially well.

Vidya has also wrapped up her part in the Santosh Sivan directed Malayalam film ‘Urumi’. The actress who appears as an oracle in the film has a song with the hero of the film Prithviraj as well as some scenes to her credit. Vidya has also dubbed for ‘Urumi’ in her own voice. The actress has revealed that it was her parents’ wish that she act in a Malayalam film and her role in ‘Urumi’ is her gift to her parents.

‘Urumi’s cast includes Prithviraj, Vidya Balan, Genelia, Prabhudeva, Tabu, and Arya.

Vidya whose raise to stardom was slow but steady has reached where she is by hard work. The actress also gets into the skin of her character that she performs, which makes it a pleasure to watch her films. Her next film in Hindi is ‘Kahaani’. Kahaani is the story of a pregnant girl who lands in Kolkata from London in search of her husband who goes missing.

Vidya Balan is also acting in a biopic on the late sultry siren of the south ‘Silk’ Smitha. The film is based on the life and death of the actress.
