The actress has revealed that it was her parents’ wish that she act in a Malayalam film and her role in ‘Urumi’ is her gift to her parents.

Vidya whose raise to stardom was slow but steady has reached where she is by hard work. Kahaani is the story of a pregnant girl who lands in Kolkata from London in search of her husband who goes missing.

Vidya Balan is also acting in a biopic on the late sultry siren of the south ‘Silk’ Smitha. The film is based on the life and death of the actress.
