Despite that, on multiple occasions, Arjun and Malaika have faced toxicity and trolling for the 12 year age gap between them.

However, the duo seems to believe that age should never be an hinderence for your ambitions. Recently, Malaika took to Instagram to share a note through which she urged people to normalise finding love in their 40s. The note read, "No but seriously. Normalize finding love in your ‘40s. Normalize discovering and chasing new dreams in your 30’s. Normalize finding yourself and your purpose in your 50’s. Life doesn’t end at 25. Let’s stop acting like it does."

This came couple days after the rumors about their breakup broke out in the media. However, Arjun quickly dismissed them by sharing a photo with Malaika with the caption, "Ain’t no place for shady rumours. Stay safe. Stay blessed. Wish well for people. Love y’all."
