Akkineni Nagarjuna today came down heavily against rumour-mongers who have created a fabricated quote. Nag has been falsely quoted as saying that Samantha Ruth Prabhu was the first one to seek divorce from Naga Chaitanya. The statement implicates Samantha and suggests that Chay agreed to divorce her because he had no choice. Nag has categorically denied saying it and blasted the media for creating fake news.

"The news in social media and electronic media quoting my statement about Samantha & Naga Chaitanya is completely false and absolute nonsense!! I request media friends to please refrain from posting rumours as news," the senior actor tweeted.

He used the hashtag 'Give news not rumours'.

The Bigg Boss Telugu host has put out a strong statement. Recently, in a pre-release interview ahead of the release of 'Bangarraju', Chaitanya said that the divorce was a mutual decision in the best interest of both. "If she is happy, I am happy," Chay said.
